Instructions for File Preparation

Please avoid using gif images, highly compressed jpg files, png images, and images taken from a web page.


PDF File Instruction

Standard: Select None
Compatibility: Select Acrobat 8 (PDF 1.7)

Please note, we do not accept ‘Press Quality’ PDF Files; please save as a ‘High Quality’ PDF.


PhotoShop File Instruction

Color Space – RGB: For best results begin and end in RGB
Color Settings: Convert to “Adobe RGB 1998” if no profile has been attached

Color Space – CMYK: For best results begin and end in CMYK
Color Settings: Convert to “U.S. Web Coated Swop v2” if no profile has been attached

Scale: Work at 1/10, 1/3, 1/2, or 1/1 ratio
Resolution (pixels per inch): 100dpi at final size
Bleed: 1/2 inch top, bottom, left and right
Fonts: All type usage must be rasterized
Image Compression: Off
Layers: Flatten all layers
Save As: Tiff, or High Quality PDF with .5” Bleed on all 4 sides

Your design files should now be ready to go.


Illustrator File Instruction

Color Space: Pantone Coated or CMYK color space is preferred; NO RGB COLORS in your design. Scale:
Scale: Work at 1/10, 1/3, 1/2, or 1/1 ratio
Resolution: For placed images (pixels per inch) see PhotoShop Files Instruction above
Bleed: .5” bleed on top, bottom, left and right
Fonts: Please outline all type usage
Save As: High Quality PDF with all 4 sides bleeding to .5”


InDesign/Quark File Instructions

Color Space: For best results Pantone Coated or CMYK is preferred; NO RGB COLORS in your design
Scale: Work at 1/10, 1/3, 1/2, or 1/1 ratio
Resolution: Please see PhotoShop File Instructions (above) for placed images (pix-els per inch)
Bleed: .5” bleed on top, bottom, left and right
Support art (placed images): Must be embedded
Image Compression: Off
Save As: High Quality PDF using a .5” bleed on all 4 sides
